This week Conor and Luke are astonished by the classical Samurai atmosphere of Thirteen Assassins and all the more so because it’s by schlock-and-shock king Takashi Miike. They are also suitably impressed by the machismo of Predator, which kicks off the Big Hollywood Action Movies season. Table Time is equal parts deliciousness and ambivalence, as Luke discusses an amazing fried chicken & waffles brunch and Conor talks about the troubling but ultimately quite rewarding new detective show Shattered.
Without Conor, Luke is aimless, like a puppy that’s lost his way. Lucky for Luke (and you) Morgan McBride is available and once again proves himself to be an able voiced co-host. Topics discussed this week include 1993’s tale of repetition and redemption Groundhog Day, Die Hard and movie meals. Don’t forget to check out Scriptshadow’s Die Hard article! Oh, and enjoy the show!
Luke falsely identified the number of days Bill Murray spends reliving the 2nd of February as 3000-something, this article reveals a more accurate figure, based on research and the like. Spoilers obviously.
